Day 17 Sunday Dec 10, 2023:
visit to fair price souvenir shop at 10 am, checkout at 12 noon, uber to Cairo airport [153 egp], flight at 4.30 pm back home via Frankfurt
SOIUVENIR SHOP
Walked some 500m to a fair price souvenir shop and bought some bare minimum ... a tee, magnet, a patch and a small purse.
This was the first country I had felt intimidated about asking for prices at souvenir vendors. The official shops were too high priced, the vendors were very persistent, so I had not even attempted to buy stuff.
Such a pity!!
CHECKED OUT AT 12 NOON
WAITING AT ENTRANCE FOR UBER
it's an old building with a plaque... 100 plus years old but had a functioning lift and quite user friendly
Day 18 Monday Dec 11:
9pm-next day 1pm [16 hour] layover at Frankfurt, flight to Houston at 1.45 pm, landed at Houston 6pm after 11 hour flight.
