Day 10 Nov 26 Drive to Petaluma
STAY Quality Inn, Petaluma, 2 nights
Caught a bad cold/fever after Getty center visit
The last building in Getty center with the paintings was very crowded, not well ventilated and there were people coughing.
I started feeling sick. Took an Ibuprofen and slept. But still woke up very tired.
The provisions we had brought from home were over. Son went to Walmart to get some groceries and some medicines.
We checked out and drove toward Petaluma.
We had done the scenic Highway 1 a few years ago.
This time the focus was northern california wine country.
Drove a bit of hwy 1 and when it became very time consuming drove on the interior highway.
Reached Petaluma
Day 11 Nov 27 Napa valley and Sonoma drive
I was running temperature, ate nothing and just slept fitfully the whole day in the hotel room.
Son went out on his own and drove around the vineyards.
In South Africa we had had a good time driving the wine country.
France champagne, Burgundy regions were OK too
Here he said it was just so-so.
Guess people doing wine tasting probably enjoy this area
