Road Trip to Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Napa valley and Redwoods: Days 1, 2, 3

 

Day 1 Nov 17: Drive Houston to Ozona

Just started off from our home in Houston at 2PM, decided to see how far we can go. 

San Antonio and beyond was the goal. Made it further to Ozona

There were great rest stops on the way... like this one which doubles as a museum

and did a hotel booking for the night.

Stay Hillcrest Inn & Suites, Ozona, Texas

Lots of handy stuff from home... home made tomato relish, lime pickle, salt, spice  powder in packets

The handy pressure pan below which cooks brown rice in 5 min had to be left behind in Mexico city in Feb 2023 at the airport... thr security guy was a damant it's a weapon!!

Day 2, ,Nov 18: Drive to Benson

STAY Copper Stay Inn, Benson, Arizona

microwave and fridge and separate vanities in all the hotels we stayed.

BVery convenient

Day 23, Nov 19: Reached Vegas by evening

our intention had been to reach Vegas by Sunday morning and we had booked 4 nights at Strat, Vegas.

But we reached Vegas ahead of schedule.

So booked 1 night at a hotel off the strip

STAY Thunderbird Boutique Hotel, 1 night

Anyway, the distances covered to reach Vegas from Houston look CRAZY but we felt fine!!
