YELLOWSTONE AND GRAND TETON TRIP REPORT DAYS 8,9,10: DRIVE BACK HOME

Day 8 Oct 17, 2021 Sunday:

After deep pondering in the night, I came to the conclusion, we need not extend our vacation, nor should we attempt to drive into YNP .  South entrance had looked forbidding at 4 pm on a sunny after noon in mid fifties ... why tempt fate in the morning?

In the morning, son came up to me and told me the same thing. Well, the purpose of travel and indeed life itself is to observe, learn and grow!! It had been a great experience for the both of us.

We had enjoyed the beauty of Grand Teton in picture perfect weather. We had also been awestruck by the splendor of YNP. No need to push our luck venturing into icy terrains in inclement conditions. Parts of YNP need much higher temperature for the snow to melt.

The images of the rangers cheerfully protecting the visitors are etched for ever in our memory. Appreciate their efforts to the moon and back. Thank you all and God Bless!

We checked out and started on our drive

Wyoming drive was scenic and had the roads to ourselves;  the sun was right ahead, so pics are not clear
